Honda CB750 Hornet Unveiled: Check Out The New Streetfighter In 8 Pics - ZigWheels

The 2023 Honda CB750 Hornet has been unveiled at the 2022 Intermot motorcycle fair in Cologne, Germany. The iconic streetfighter ditches the traditional in-line four powerplant in favour of an all-new 755cc, parallel-twin heart among other changes. Let’s have a closer look at what's new in 8 pics.

If you’ve been a fan of the OG Hornet, the new design will not disappoint. The 2023 model continues to silhouette the Hornet’s butch design philosophy with sharp creases and muscular proportions. Headlight:

The headlight on the new model is an all LED unit. However, the new hardware is housed in a familiar-looking sharp and angry headlight, giveing it an unmistakable Hornet look.

Adding to the Hornet’s new and even muscular stance is its new split-seat design and befier exhaust. However, tucked away in the front is also Honda’s patented ‘Vortex Flow Ducts’, which channel more air into the airbox for a crisper throttle response.

The fabled in-line four is gone, which is sad. That said, the new CB750 gets a new, compact, 755cc parallel-twin heart, which produces 91.7PS and 75Nm. The motor is mated to a six-speed gearbox and its 270 degree firing order gives it ‘V-twin-like’ beat, which puts the smile back on our faces.

You also get slip and assist clutch, four ride modes – Sport, Standard, Rain and User (customisable) – three-levels of traction control (Honda Selectable Torque Control), three levels of engine braking and wheelie control.

The CB750 now gets a lightweight, steel diamond type frame, 41mm Showa SFF-BP (separate function, big piston) fork and a monoshock with preload adjustability only. However, the best bit is that the new CB750 weighs just 190kg (wet).

Braking on the new CB750 is handled by two 296mm petal discs at the front and a single 240mm disc at the rear. Dual-channel ABS is being offered as standard and it rides on 17-inch cast aluminium wheels.

It’s a modern bike and hence gets modern equipment like a five-inch colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity via Honda Smartphone Voice Control (HSVC), same feature as the new CB300F.

The Hornet is priced at GBP 6,999 (approximately Rs 6.47 lakh) and retails in four colours – Graphite Black, Pearl Glare White, Matte Iridium Grey Metallic and Matte Goldfinch Yellow. If it ever arrives in India, it will rival the Triumph Trident 660, which is priced at Rs 7,45,000 (ex-showroom) onwards but packs less oomph than the Hornet.

Any suggestions - Ideas to improve the quality
