Novitec's Ferrari SF90 Spider Receives Carbon-Fiber Treatment And Power Bump To 1,094 Hp | Carscoops

Novitec presented their tuning package for the Ferrari SF90 Stradale just a few months ago, and now the company is following up with a similar kit for the Ferrari SF90 Spider. This includes a carbon-fiber bodykit, a new set of 21-inch wheels, lowered suspension, and a power increase for the plug-in hybrid setup.

Visually, Novitec’s carbon-fiber kit for the open-top model is carried over from the Stradale. It includes a larger front splitter, carbon flaps on the sides of the front bumper, new trim for the hood scoop and the base of the windshield, motorsports-inspired air outlets on the front fenders, aerodynamic side sills, side intake garnish, engine-bay cover, a prominent ducktail spoiler, and a larger diffuser. The tuner is offering plenty of options for the interior, including leather and Alcantara upholstery in any desired color.

The supercar comes fitted with a set of 21-inch Novitec NF10 alloy wheels by Vossen, although other options are also available per request. From the official photos, it is evident that the Ferrari SF90 Spider has been lowered. Indeed, Novitec equipped the car with new sports springs, bringing it closer to the ground by 30 mm (1.2 inches) at the front and by 25 mm (1 inch) at the back, with a front lift system raising the front by 40 mm (1.6 inches) for going over speed bumps or parking ramps.

The twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 has received new maps for injection, ignition, and electronic boost pressure, thanks to two Novitec N-Tronic modules. Thus, the power output has been increased by 107 hp (80 kW / 109 PS) and the torque by 118 Nm (87 lb-ft). In combination with the trio of electric motors, the combined number is 1,094 hp (816 kW / 1,109 PS), up from the stock 986 hp (735 kW / 1000 PS).

The tweaked exhaust system also contributes to the power boost. Novitec added custom 100-cell metal catalysts, 999 fine-gold plating for better insulation, optional actively controlled butterfly valves for better sound, and a set of 112mm (4.4 inches) tailpipes with a carbon finish.

As a result, the Novitec-tuned Ferrari SF90 Spider accelerates from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 2.4 seconds and has a top speed of more than 340 km/h (211 mph). Those figures are slightly improved over the stock model and identical to the tuner’s SF90 Stradale despite the extra weight from the roof opening mechanism. The latter is only evident from the 0-200 km/h (0-124 mph) sprint which is completed in 6.5 seconds in the Spider, instead of the 6.3 seconds in the Stradale.

Novitec hasn’t shared pricing details for the upgrades. It did however publish a 15-minute long video presentation of the tuned Ferrari SF90 Spider including footage of driving it and revving the electrified V8.
